    Tom has been a professional fiddle player for 17 years, although he can often be found calling the dances too. Initially learning in the back room of the Harrington Arms, Gawsworth, and then under the tuition of Sean Heeley at the George in Buxton, his style is highly rhythmic, energetic, and deeply expressive. A veteran of over 2000 gigs, Tom has released more than a dozen albums across several bands and projects, and has played on many more. He is also a published author and amateur wooden boat builder. He supports Salford rugby league club and enjoys chess and growing vegetables.
